Well, the fuel spills out and runs down the rear quarter panel making a mess. So Brian, by saying swing the back end around u mean like driving hard or something? What do u mean? What will shaking the car do?
Yeah I just checked the insert Dan, it is a bit loose coz the seal is cracked up in many places, so i will have to fix it sometime soon. But I still don't see how that will be related to the fuel coming back up the pipe. What vent do I check? On the actual cap or something? I put my finger on the little flap thingy to bend it back. Is it meant to actually seal the hole tight when it is closed? I don't think mine does. I might put some silicon around the seal for now see if that helps. Another thing which i find annoying too is that when the car is full of fuel, or even 3/4 full, and i happen to park sideways on an incline with the fuel filler sitting lower, fuel literally pours out of the hole with the flap. Grrrrr, now that shouldn't happen didn't happen in my AU Fairmont at least...
