Also, it said to Ben that I think he has a genuine problem with that level of fuel consumption, not just something an ECU reset or different fuel will cure.

Ben, check the sensors as Mark suggested. Unless you are an absolute leadfoot those figures make no sense for a TT, particularly the consumption for cruising on a highway. I'll skip the comparative figures I had in the previous note but there is plenty of evidence in older threads on fuel consumption that a comparatively stock TT should do much better than that. Your car appears not well and needs some attention.
