I am looking at my cars "aero" package this weekend. Like everyone before me I want to maximise what I have but still get it onto and off the trailer. I am screwing on some freebie fibreglass skirts to assist in the aero, but I really need to tackle the front of the car.

My splitter sits at about 180-190mm off the ground. All the internet opinion (webpinion?) points to an optimum height around 3 inches/75mm.

Another issue is that my splitter/undertray follows the natural lines under the front bar, causing it to have an upwards rake. This will most likely cause the undertray to generate some lift, counteracting the downforce acting on the splitter lip. I want to get it so it is parallel to the ground.

Third, I think I am too small. Actually, I think my splitter lip is too small. At the moment I am running 2 inch/50mm splitter protrusion. I want to stretch that to 100mm/4 inch if I can.

All this will need to be done with consideration given to getting it on and off the trailer with the minimum of fuss.

Opinions?
