Ali - no ignorance, it's a fair question, the answer to which is yes....and no. It won't increase downforce so much as decrease "upforce", or lift. A flat undertray like Ben's is more about providing a smooth path for the air to flow under the car. Less drag, less turbulence = go faster and it will feel grippier (if that's even a word), which feels like more downforce because increasing downforce has the same purpose - increasing grip.
