Fair one James, but let me explain...

An 'alloy' is a mixture of two or more metals. 'Ally' is my (and many others) abbreviation of Aluminium, or Aluminum as our US readers would say.

Now, I don't know how often you type the word 'Aluminium', but the 'a' is on the far left of the keyboard, the 'l' is on the extreme other end of the same row, and then the 'u' is up the top, then down the bottom for the 'm'. Next you have to reverse your line of travel and cross over to get back up the top of the keyboard to get to that pesky little 'i', and then do it all over again to get back down the bottom to the 'n'. Next, we go back up to the 'i' (have we been here before?) before completely bucking the trend and heading left to the 'u'. Finally, we get to revisit the 'm'. It really is a pain in the arse of a word to spell.

Anyway, a sheet of a-l-u-m-i-n-i-u-m a-l-l-o-y 2400x1200x1.6mm will cost me $205 here in I will need to shop further afield for a better price, meaning it isn't something I can do after work. It may have to wait for the Christmas holidays
