G'day Joe. You advice, research, and opinion is welcome here. I will read your links in due course, but at the moment I am fragged. I have just come in from the shed, showered and cracked a can of Jimmy. The diffuser is on the car. Just.

Some pics below, but in short I reverted back to Andrew's design and just cut the car up to make it fit. Suffice to say I don't think I could fit anything bigger under there.

It is made from a single sheet o 1.6mm aluminium (James), cut with a jigsaw and bent using some wooden blocks, a mallet, and a shed load of determination. My arms feel like I have done 12 rounds. It is secured via ally brackets, but will also be joined to the boxed floor when I fabricate that. It then will be extremely strong. My cutouts for the exhaust need some work as there is still some fouling which could lead a failure or just an annoying noise.

I ordered a rear main seal and a front gear box seal from Castle Hill Toyota today as well. I don't know why the clutch is slipping, but I would hate to crack the gear box off the engine and find it was the gearbox seal and not the rear main...
