Yeah i think its just how they are hanging down. If I'm reading the picture right, they should sit far enough left and right to be fine, if not snug.
Remember from this picture, the widest part of the diffuser is right where the tips are, but the muffler will be back a little more where the diffuser is slightly skinnier. All about the camera tricks ;)
