The clutch is in the gear box, and the gear box is mounted to the car. I lined the engine to gearbox join with sealant as well, as further insurance against another oil incursion.
I still need to bolt the pressure plate to the flywheel, and reassemble all the other bits (tailshaft, gearshift, heat shields etc) and fill it with oil. I am happy now that all the heavy lifting is done, I can relax tomorrow night and get the rest done Friday night/Saturday. I may even go down to the local hick dinosaur car show here in Singleton on Saturday if it is all done.
