The car felt nice and predictable to drive. I was really leaning on it through turn 1 and you could feel the car begin to over rotate, but a little unwinding of the steering and it fired out onto the next straight.

The brakes were really noticeable (for me) as I am now flat over the dogleg in third and carry full throttle down into the gully before a hard brake into the final turn. Previously I was on the brakes as soon as the car settled over the dogleg.

Reportedly, I was braking much later than most (including half a dozen evos) into turn 1, and I was hitting speed cut about 60m before my brake marker, which I have never done before. That points to me coming out of the final turn much better. I was leaving the car in 3rd through the final turn and gently feeding power so I was on full boost at turn exit, as opposed to changing from 2nd to 3rd on the way out of the corner which caused some very close brushes with the wall.

The fastest lap time was set with the HSD coils set to F9/R12(15 being the softest) which was due to me forgetting to re adjust the suspension. I went to F5/R5 which is closer to where I found it best last year, but laps remained in the mid 51sec range regardless. Perhaps if I checked them earlier in the day I could have made some adjustments before it got to hot and seen if there was an improvement.
