What about this idea that was on the Celica Ben:

Slots cut in the tops of the rear guards, and wing mounts connected straight to the chassis rails via a bracket. There was plenty of room to remove the boot lid without removing the wing, the wing itself was adjustable, and the whole design was pretty simple.

These end plates/mounts were made from marine ply, but I'm sure a man with your skills could fabricate something out of ally (he he) or titanium (is "tit" short for titanium?) or something.
