Paul- I'll call you today.
Carl-the turbos are exactly as they left the factory, but older. I have a set of custom and quite dodgy dump pipes under them, but that is about it. I believe they are running 10-12psi (the gauge is mainly there so I can see if something goes wrong)
As for the blinkers, I don't really care what they look like. They weren't heavy enough to delete for weight saving and I am am not interested in modifying stuff for looks only. They are in a low pressure area so air would flow out not in, and it wouldn't be a meaningful amount of air to cool brakes anyway.
I have spent hours looking at the frontal area and really want to build something like the current falcon V8 supercar front bar. A single big opening with ducts leading off to the coolers and on each side. I also want to incorporate some sort of brake cooling.
I am very hands on, but know enough to research before jumping in. I have no trade background at all, and my Dad was never into cars etc. I just like doing labour type stuff myself. And I love tools. If you want to have a crack at anything you have seen here I am more than happy to find pictures, explain, advise, guess etc to help out.
I might get to Qld. I grew up on the North Coast of NSW and wouldn't mind moving back that way one day. Plus there are a couple of tracks in southern Qld I'd like to have a go at.
The missus is good. She has her hobbies, I have mine. We both like motorsport, but watching wasn't enough for me. She is fine with it as long as I keep the money side of things under control.
