So today I started my first front bar. I mixed black pigment into my gel coat seeing as I have a black car. This should save on resprays seeing as paint chips will not show up the white fibreglass underneath.
Gel coat went alright, however fibreglassing was very tricky. Next time I will do all the fiddly little bits first such as the returns around the headlights and the bonnet area. I am not sure I got these right this time around. I need to be able to lay the mould down so I can see in there and gravity will assist getting into the tight areas.
