I just went out and pulled all the clamps off the bonnet. Fit is OK, but I won't be winning any car shows with the panel gaps. For whatever reason, the bonnet is now closer to the passenger side guard, and slightly forwards on the passenger side as well. It all lined up nicely before I glued it. At the end of the day it will do what I need it to.

The best part? All up, including the steel brackets to make the hinges work, it weighs exactly 5kg. The steel bonnet it replaces was 25kg, remembering that I had previously cut steel out of that as well. I am also no longer using the bonnet struts, which obviously weigh something too. Pretty happy considering my target weight was 7kg when I was doing all the working out. I used less resin and cloth on the inner skeleton than I had planned I think. Seems stiff enough, but I'll find out on Saturday - if the weather is OK.
