I looked at the cam sensor thingy - it actually is not shiny at all. Might have been a camera flash trick. I fed a couple of feeler gauges in there and 0.6mm goes in easy, gets tight for a 0.8mm gauge, so they aren't touching.
Plugs all look nice and new.
The number six cylinder doesn't hold pressure either. I cranked until it was up to 160 psi and would go no further, and then let it sit. The gauge slowly dropped. Another cylinder checked this way held its pressure.
What will a leak down test tell me? I assume there is some sort of special kit for it. A quick google says it involves filling the cylinder with compressed air and listening for leaks?
