There is a rebuilt 1J that was advertised on facebook, but it is just out of reach both financially and physically. (it is in Qld). I would love to grab it, but can't find the cash he wants, plus stump up for shipping. The upside is I should be able to run it with the tune I have now.
There is a brand new 2JZGTE block that was for sale for the exact same money. Now a 1.5JZ built on a brand new bottom end, that would be pretty reliable. But then the whole thing would need to be tuned again, and the stock high flows might not be up to the task, and more expense follows.
