I know I can do it myself Matt. I just don't have the time I had in the last job. If I work a 12hour day I consider that I got off lightly. I don't want all my home time to be car time. The boys deserve better. I am working Saturday, but if I get time on the weekend, I will flip the motor and pull the sump/crank/pistons out. The block will need an expert eye to make the call on if it is rebuildable.

I am going to look for this rebuilt 1J facebook add again and see how much lower he is willing to go. It scares me to spend so much money on something I can't see, and there is no business behind it with a warranty etc.

I also need to speak to Neil Griffiths again as he has a 1J that he might let go cheap. That way I can chuck it in and get going again, and then rebuild at my leisure. Last time I spoke to him, he had not checked to see if the engine runs as it was in a crashed wreck.
