Well, Andrew, the car got a new set of lungs. After much success with the Munro Highflow CT20s I took the decision to go to a single turbo for the weight reduction and heat management. I am not looking for more power, so the target is the same 350-400rwkw that the CT20 could support. With this in mind I selected a Gen II GTX3076R turbo on a 6Boost manifold and aa 50mm external Turbosmart Progate.

There was a fair bit of custom work, as with everything on this car, including modification to the manifold with dual wastegate pipes to the progate, a dump pipe, screamer pipe, intake and modifications to fit the existing intercooler setup.

There were a few issues tuning the new setup, due to the size of the rear diffuser there was nowhere to tie the car down on the rollers. At 320rwkw the car kept breaking into wheelspin making it hard to get a peak power number.

I took the car out to Mallala for a shake down, having not driven for almost a year. The extra torque down low caught me out on the warm up lap - I can honestly say I have never spun on a warm up lap before. Unfortunately I folllowed a BMZ too closely in the second session and when he went off the road I drove through all the rocks and gravel he threw up, destroying the intercooler, oil coolers and windscreen.

The whole cooling setup is now under review as I had an idea for a flat mounted intercooler I have always wanted to try.
