After destroying the coolers and windscreen, I decided to completely change the layout of the cooling systems. It is an idea I had been playing with for a while, but the damage forced my hand. Replace like for like, or switch to the new setup.

I dont like wasting time, money and effort to stay the same.

The next few posts will catch you up on the last two months developments.

The pics below show how I developed my idea. First I purchased a nose cut from a local guy. I then welded up a frame to mount it to my engine stand. From there I started cutting metal out to fit the intercooler laying flat in front of the radiator. I then fabricated a sheetmetal duct similar to the OEM one for the radiator. This forms the back of the intercooler duct.

The last pic shows the 'chimney' which is the intercooler outlet. This will go through the bonnet.
