I have always believed in air boxes over exposed 'hot air induction pods' so using sheetmetal and my favourite tape I formed a shape around the intercooler hot pipe, air intake pipe and other bits and pieces.
Of course, this could not remain sheetmetal in my car, so a wet layup of carbon followed.
The finished piece is not pretty, but is air tight - ish.
It looks much better with a carbon fibre lid. The lid is made from a sheet of carbon laid up on a piece of glass.
