Cutting and bridging are different actions. What did you do?

I know that cutting and bridging are different, and I only cut them because if they were the correct wires and I cut them, then the car would not start. Since the car did start when I cut them, it was safe to assume they are the incorrect wires. Therefore, I didn't need to bridge them.

I fitted the clutch switch assembly and connected it up to the wiring loom on the gearbox. It does work as Muzzy said it would, I was just hoping there was a way to run the wires inside the car rather than from the inside to the outside, as I am sure that somewhere along the line, those wires run to a loom inside the car, so it would be neat and easy to run, but, it looks as though either I am wrong, no one has found these wires inside the car yet, or the people that have found them did not see/reply to this thread.

Anyway, it's all sorted now, thanks to Muzzy and all that helped.
