Drill 2 holes in the middle of the plate. 1 at the top and one at the bottom about where the clips are (look at the new one to see). Screw 2 long screws in enough to get a good grip. Get 2 pliers and grip the screw ends firmly and give it a good tug and it should come out. If not find the how to do it procedure to remove the screen and push it out. Before you start make sure the new one is curved the right way to fit in ie it's not one from a left-hand drive car or you'll find you'll end up with drink all over your carpet.
