if i remember correctly as rob said its a c-clip on the handle

but its a bit tricky to get off as its more a spring design



you kind of need to spread the thing apart on both sides. you can try one edge at a time but it generally just rocks the other edge back into groove

my drawing kind of shows what i mean with the red being the c-clip and the black being the shaft on the seat.
