Well, guys, It's been a while since I've done an update here. It's also been a while since I've had any time to play around with the car.

I've had a good week this week, and got a bit done.

My new radiator top tank had a small leak around the tank, unfortunately I am now 300km away from the place that did the tank.
I tightened up the little bits that hold the tank on, and that almost fixed it. I then found a very tiny crack which I have sealed up with aviation grade two part structural sealant after I sort of welded it up.
Now there is only the tiniest of weeps, but it will survive until I can get it back to the radiator joint.

My climate control had quite large temperature variations when set on one temperature and I often had to change the temp setting to be comfortable.
It turned out that the guy who fitted my immobiliser didn't put the little temp sensor back in its correct place behind the dash. I put that back into position and it seems better.

Some of you may know of my power steering problems. I finally got around to flushing the system this arvo.
First, after finally getting the old, hard hoses off the brittle plastic reservoir with out breaking anything and then draining the reservoir, I found about 2 or 3 filters built into the reservoir. there was a ton of gunge in there. Almost looked like someone had tipped a pot of radiator stop leak in there.
I thought I best remove the reservoir and give it a proper flush out. Well, that was easier thought than done. Anyway, got that off, and carefully, oh so carefully, scraped out what gunge I could and then gave it a really good washout with avgas. When it was nice and clean I hooked up the suction pipe and replaced the reservoir.
Then gave it a flush as per Reepa's site. My golly the fluid comes out quick, 2 liters gives you about enought time to go from one lock to the other and back again really quickly.
4 liters of Transmax Z later it's time to reconnect everything and wash out all the spillage.
(I had to do this in a paddock and there was no other options where I am at the moment.
Anyway another couple of liters of avgas and everything is washed out nicely.

I let it dry off for a while, and tightend up the power steering/suspension belt and it seems better. Time will tell if it is or not, maybe another flush next time I have some time might be better. I'll try and get a hoist so I can crack open the fittings at the rear rack and let the clean fluid flush through there.

The rear rack did seem very keen for a while, a little hyperactive perhaps, but after a bit of a drive it seems to have settled down.
