You gotta give this dealer some credit!! Made me smile. Yes his description is over the top, but in a way it really does describe the awesome features of a Soarer in a way that gives the car justice and probably entices people to buy from him!! (Taken from a current eBay ad) - Classic, haven't read something like this about a Soarer on eBay since...well, never!! HAHA.

WHOLESALE / TRADE IN CLEARANCE SALE – NO RESERVE!

We are seriously out of space!!!

To that end we offer to ebay members this stunning low mileage Toyota Soarer V8 Limited.

Produced in lesser volume for the top end of this model, the ‘Limited’ is a comparatively rare and very desirable variant on the ever-popular Soarer luxury sports coupe.

Adding new heights of luxury to the already bullet proof mechanicals of the Soarer coupe makes this car an absolute delight. This is a car that can go from the most luxurious, soft, floating, docile grand touring car you have ever experienced to an angry, growling, stiffened up performance machine in a heartbeat – this is Jeckle and Hyde motoring!

Finished in gleaming Cashmere metallic with rare Oatmeal full leather trim, this is one sharp looking motor car. Adding to the appeal is a set of highly polished alloy wheels – the only deviation from standard; and a veritable bevy of luxury accoutrements one would expect to be reserved for cars with 6-figure price tags. Just some of these include extras include:

- Drive away door locking

- Electric seats, drivers with position memory and lumbar adjustment

- Electric steering column with easy entry/exit tilt mode

- Power windows and mirrors

- Holographic digital dash displays

- Adjustable air bag suspension with automatic adaptive modes

- Climate control air conditioning (recently serviced and very crisp)

- Central locking

- Cruise control

- Factory audio system

- Adjustable gearbox shift modes

- Drivers air bag

- … And LOTS more!

This car is certainly well above the frankly quite average cars that seem to have flooded the market in recent times. A couple of years ago there were still a good selection of low mileage Soarers on the market in good condition as is the case with this car. Unfortunately as they became more affordable the majority fell in to the hands of unloving and undeserving owners who thrashed them to within an inch of their life and simply did not care for them. Aside from the polished alloy wheels, this Soarer remains in completely original and standard condition. It has not been modified with lowered suspension, big aftermarket audio systems, big bore exhausts, blacked out windows and so on. If you are looking for a luxury sports touring coupe that has been loved, driven respectfully by a mature owner and cared for correctly then surely this car demands your attention.

It is very difficult to accurately describe a car of this age and so we encourage and advise your personal inspection before auctions close so that you may form your own opinions.

In the interests of providing the most accurate and frank description of this car as is possible, I shall summarise the vehicles condition in sub-categories hereafter

BODY & PAINT: Is really very lovely indeed. Naturally with age comes a degree of wear and tear however this car has quite obviously been well cared for in its life. On a close inspection there are some minor chips and imperfections in the paint and the rear bumper has been touched up at some point however these small things in no way detract from the cars overall excellent presentation. The gorgeous Cashmere metallic paintwork shines beautifully with a deep gloss and really suits the shape of the car. The bodywork is very straight and everything lines up with a factory fit. The doors open and close beautifully with no sag or fatigue while the same can be said of the bonnet and boot. On balance the cars presentation certainly belies its age and most definitely warrants a personal inspection.

TRIM & INTERIOR: Is again in lovely condition. The full leather is absolutely beautiful showing only very minimal signs of wear consistent with the cars low mileage. There are certainly no rips, tears, cracks or otherwise to report. The wood grain dash and door veneers are in very good order along with the door trims and carpets. The car still sports its original full set of tailored and embossed thick pile carpet over rugs. The dash shows no fatigue from UV and the back looks like it has never been used. There are no annoying rattles in the trim and everything fits beautifully. This is certainly not your average mistreated Soarer with torn leather, grubby trim and faded paint!

MECHANICALS: The car is magnificent on the road. It gives you a feeling of indestructibility that Toyota is famous for. It is very solid and very sure footed with direct steering, sharp brakes and a very responsive yet surprisingly economical V8 engine. The car runs beautifully with no misfiring, no funny noises, no smoke and no over heating to report. The ride offered by its adjustable air suspension is superb and the car just does not misbehave. It does not appear to be dropping or using any fluids (oil, coolant etc), the gearbox is smooth through all gears and I would not hesitate to drive it interstate in a heartbeat. I can only fault two things on the car; number 1 is that some of the tyres are looking borderline on the edges and secondly the climate LCD screen has gone dark in one section. You can still read the temperature etc and the system operates correctly so this is really of no consequence. Aside from this I can not fault the car – its air suspension pumps up and goes down correctly and the car performs impeccably. I am currently using the car daily and adore it. It offers exceptional styling, great performance, a sublime ride and it is very economical.

The best thing about this car isn’t its performance (which is quite staggering), nor is it the way the car looks. It’s not all the technology or the amazing levels of luxury and refinement. The best thing about this car is the fact that all of these components have been engineered so well that they are very unobtrusive, making this car a synch to drive and live with.

When you are behind the wheel of this car you are in no way overwhelmed by the high levels of technology – they just go about doing their business and making your life all the more comfortable. The car also does not intimidate you with its awesome acceleration or handling capabilities – it just makes you feel safe and secure.

This tour deforce of the era’s technology is all things to all people and really makes for an incredible ownership experience – Driven normally, you float along the road riding waves of incredible torque while enjoying the air conditioned comfort of your well appointed cabin. Change the gearbox over to ‘power’ mode and put the hammer down and you are behind the wheel of an aggressive, powerful sports car with body hugging seats and an awe-inspiring chassis...I know I am perhaps waxing lyrical a touch, but this really is an incredible car!

Comforted by the mechanical condition and on road performance of this car, I personally would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. It presents very well and can hold its own amongst most of today’s supposed luxury and sports cars.

If you are looking for a unique yet practical car that has had the care and attention it deserves over the years, then this is the car for you.

I am not sure what this vehicle would require to pass a RWC – I am not a mechanic. As expressed above the car certainly drives beautifully and I would be surprised if it required much aside from some tyres that are showing wear replaced however it is now 17 years old so you should rely on your own inspection to ascertain the cars suitability to your requirements.

Please remember to get your bids in early on this car – on occasion I have ended an auction early to sell a car straight from the showroom and people always e-mail disappointed that they missed out...There is one sure fire way to prevent this from happening – bid early and bid well!
