I have driven on them and IMO they certainly leave grip to be desired. They were about half worn, noisy and tramlined. I hope yours hold up better Mike.
The F1's do the same when worn but provide heaps of grip and very short life (nearly in the league of pilot sports for grip and driver feedback).
Most V grove type tread patterns suffer the same fate as they wear and they are particularly bad if the wheel alignment is off but the slightest amount.
