I really don't get your logic...
You want to supercharge and spend 7k on upgrading a big soft GT car from 1991 to take on the track. That you seem to know very, very little about.
Yet all your worried about is safety which was in it's early days then and if it is better than a MUCH newer Jaguar or Audi that cost 20 times more than an old Soarer? Really.... sorry what?
Don't forget that over time, older cars perform poorer in crash test than when they were brand new and old airbags might not even work!!
*sigh*
I don't think this car is right for you to be perfectly honest, a new Volvo with 20 air bags and a 260km/h speedo is what you need.. and a big sign on top saying 'I'm a plonker'
