Or TT 297 x 32 mm front, 307 x 16 mm rear, 2 pot, are excellent for the street and far superior to the V8 ones you have. The others require wheels to match. Your 17" may or may not do it. If your aim is to race then you need the best brakes you can find.

Improving pads will have more effect than changing discs, just like better tyres usually beat wider. I do not recommend hanging on to the existing V8 discs under any circumstances though.
