Hi had the same problem the first time changing my filter, one side didn't move so I got frustrated & chop the thing out with a saw ripped all the fuel line out install braided lines from tank to injector rail(that was not easy).install two filters in the line path, a chevy hi-flow filter near stock location & a aeromotive filter from summit under hood before injector rail, never had any issue with heat and fuel burn/consumption
