Ashley, if you are going on holiday you want something small and compact moreso than a full on SLR, you get sick of carrying it around quickly. As I've said I've got the 350D but if I went away overseas I would look to buy something that could fit in my pocket to make it easier. That said I took my camera to Melbourne recently and lugged it around and it wasn't *too* bad but still got a bit annoying.
