I have just destroyed my TORSEN diff . Went on the local drag strip on friday night street car only event. Got to the staging area up against a white R32 GTST skyline and staged up. The white skyline was as stock as my car was except I had up'd the boost to 14 PSI so I should have an easy win. It was my first run of the night for me and the lights flicked on the tree. I didnt stall up my car I just chucked it into 1st gear and put the foot down and instantly it started diff hoping! The suspension in the rear was just so stiff that it couldnt help but bounce the suspension in the back and by the time I had backed off the damage was already done. I haven't inspected the damage yet but I could tell you now that if your Torsen lets go it will sound more like a big grinding crunching sound then a bang. At least I made it to the end and off the track. Time it goes into hibernation and gets some serious work done to it I think.
