Strip out the interior, and lay Dyna mat all over the floor pan. It works wonders. Also helps to give a better stereo sound. Do the doors as well(remove trims and stick on, and then refit trims) I find tyres do make some difference, but a lot of road noise comes from the quality, and type of bitumen used in road construction. Hotmix is very quiet.
