Haha, Simple problem simple solution, I put my hands underneath the cd changer and pulled up and as I did the eject light dimmed and died and came back to life as I pulled so I took the boot lining apart again, turns out a connection had come loose, obviously from when I tried to tell if the original subwoofer amplifier was still their(underneath the cd changer), it was that box ontop of the cd changer where the connection had come loose, it all works fine again!
