Depends what laws SA runs.
Most states of Aust run different laws.

NCOPs are in most states now, not sure if SA has taken them on board yet or not.

NCOP states that rims size doesn't matter, as long as rolling diameter is within +15/-10mm of the original largest tyre.

You can run tyres up to 30% wider than the widest factory.

The rim width must be within the legal limits of the tyre you use.

Rim offset must be the same or up to 12mm more negative than factory. (ie, can't run more positive offset)

Rim and tyre must be completely inside the guard while pointing forward.

Rim and tyre must not contact any part of the body or suspension under any circumstances.
