One that erks me a lot is the use of 'ass' when the correct term in Australia at least is 'arse'.

One of the things I like about Dave Billings is, that he goes to the trouble of using the correct term(s) like "arse" instead of "ass", and "mate" or "mates" (instead of buddy, buds et al) where appropriate.............good form I say .

I think if "Cajun Dave" can go to the trouble of "Doing it right" on our forum, then surely it's not too much trouble for the locals to follow suit.

Then again I've been known to (deliberately) drop the odd "ass" instead of "arse"...............but I'm strange at the best of times

I've never worn baseball caps, either normally or backwards for two reasons; 1, With a build like Jabba the Hutt, I cannot play baseball , and 2, Why would I want to emulate some redneck retard hick from backwoods Kentucky who drives a clapped out Ford/Chev/Dodge pick-up, chews tobacco, spits in a cup and who's favourite saying IS; "If ya cain't, Eat it, Root it, Shoot it or Drive it, it ain't worth squat"............I mean.....Pu.leeeease, that is Soooo last century!

I don't mind Americanisms too much in OUR (NZ/OZ) society, as long as they're not bandied about ad nauseum..........I have a particular fondness for the word "Dude" or "Dudes" and see nothing odd about using it in daily chitty-chats. But as previously stated, I'm odd anyway......so there
