Craig,

Have you checked there is power via the door loom? If so is the earth for that loom functional? (ie: properly secured to the body work etc; wire is in good condition with no breaks?

It would appear you have ruled out faulty drivers switches by changing for a known good module, and by getting it to work via direct power supply. Did you do this for the switch on the passenger side? If the passenger side is missing or faulty I found the whole system will not work.

It sounds to me that you now have just got to work back from the switches until you find the problem. It has to be in the loom somewhere. Have a look in the area between the door and body as this is a bit of a 'wear area'. Then check the plugs in the junction box to the right of the accelerator in the drivers foot well.
