No idea why that is happening Dan. I occasionally check from home and it just picks up where it left off. Is it actually logging on at both PC's?
On the other hand, I can also log in and not do a New Posts check until later, and it hasn't changed the flags just because I did the login.
While I don't have the resources to analyse all the code, I am quite convinced that it works on the username doing a New Posts search and nothing else.
When you use the other computer, how far back does it go? Just to where you last were on the normal PC?
