I can tell you a true cat story. I ran over one - accidental of course. I had my girlfriend ( long time ago ) in the car and backed up towards it. She said - are you going back to save it? My response - Hell no - I'm going back to make sure it's dead! Which I successfully did by going back & forth over it a few times to put it out of it's misery. I dropped her off and that's the last I saw of that girlfriend.
