How to Replace a Window Regulator
Tutorial kindly provided by Perry Morgan


1. Undo 3 bolts on brace. Undo and unclip the brace.

2. The brace removed showing broken window regulator.

3. The 2 four slotted disks must be undone anti clockwise.
Upload

4. Undoing the disk the bush mechanic way. [Needle nose pliers might be easier - Pen]

5. Slipping the regulator off the window glass.
Upload

6. Lift the glass up out of the way and tape it there.
Upload

7. Remove the 3 gold nuts.
Upload

8. Remove covers to access the nuts that hold the regulator to the door.
Upload

9. Remove the 3 nuts to undo the regulator.
Upload

10. Unclip the harness where it is attached to the door.
Upload

11. You may need to push the bolts out as they are hard. Then remove the regulator from the door.

12. The new regulator.
If replacing with a NEW regulator follow these steps.
Otherwise follow the previous steps in reverse order to install.

13. Cut the zip tie.

14. Carefully remove the transport cover.
Upload

15. Remove old regulator from motor by undoing metal plate.
Upload

16. Lever the regulator (white parts) from the motor.
Careful as it can flick out as it is under tension.

17. Fit new regulator to motor.
Upload

18. Replace the old style cap (on left) with the new one supplied with the regulator.
Upload

19. Screw on new cap to hold regulator in place. Now you are ready to go back and install.
