Duy, the pod is positioned in a way where the rain will have minimal contact with the pod as with bugs, dirt etc.... well there will be some contact obviously.... i have driven it in the rain only once... and the pod was dry ... If i was to take a pic of it from front on you'd just see the black part of the pod.
i also was looking at that particular funnel from apexi. does it do a good job? not to bad in the price($250) as the kit contains the air filter, gaskets, bolts and adapter for the 1jz gte. but like to know the legalism of this.. or say stuff it and do it anyway
Richard, I could't find an A'PEXi pod part number for the 1JZ VVTi? I know they've got them for the Soarer TT but not for the VVTi? Are you still running AFM or have you changed it?

Hehehehehe, Welcome to the club Jose...I know there isnt a apart number! I was stuck on this step for a while... same with a lot of other VVTI parts
I had a posting on the old forums where i had a problem wiht the AFM restriction.... basically if your not after For those who run the VVTI 1JZ and have the STOCK AFM , dont expect anything more than say 230kw(ish) with the stock AFM , as this will become your bottle neck eventually.... if you have looked inside the stock AFM you will know what i am talking about.

Oh , i forgot to mention that, to use the apexi pod on the vvti engine you need to buy a generic adapter that will plug upto the POD and then get eithersome silicon hose to clamp the pod onto the end of the AFM... its just a bit of hassle running around looking for the right parts... but once all on its great!~
