Anyone used Purolator premium plus oil filters on soarers and had problems?

Local parts store has started to stock them. Made in USA and $5. Cheaper than getting a wesfil/cooper filter. The current Ryco's seem to be made all over the world depend on the batch. Havn't seen an Ausi or Kiwi ryco in a few years.

Just wanted to check before buying one for my next change.

Why not just get a genuine one from Jeff and be done with it? Much finer filtering for really small particles.

I thought Jeff had given up on the filters, unless you order in bulk lots??

Out on interest, how much is a genuine TT oil filter? $15-20?

Fleetguard look identical to the toyota filters. Red colored anti drain back valve and round o-ring seal. They have more paper in them. The element is about 2" longer than a Cooper filter when unfolded.

$11 from most truck places.

I have been using the blue Purolator oil filters for a while now. They are supposed to filter down to 10microns. In all honesty, if you change your oil and filter every 5000 kms, it doesn't matter what filter you use.

And....they are a nice pretty blue colour, so I like 'em!!

Purolator seem to have a bad manufacturing process.

I bought one a while ago and noticed that the threads had very fine gray machining swarth on them.
