I replaced my toyota fuel filter today with a non gen item, now i cant seem to tighten it up enough to stop fuel leaking out, any ideas? tips?

Sounds like you have either cross threaded the new one upon trying to install it... OR have forgotten to make sure you put the copper washer back in ( sometimes they stick to the old filters).

Although, I would much rather stick with Genuine:-)

the little copper washer? does it go inside the new filter where you feed the line in? i got new ones but thay wouldnt stay inline with the hole, is there a trick to keeping them in place?
