The window thing :

The dash : http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/messages/282/20178.html

The surging is possibly the fuel pump ecu. there have been a number of these playing up of late.

Run a search and you will find all the info you need. Just about every problem you will encounter will have been encountered and solved before.

Also check out the archives. Good luck. :-)

Sounds like a fair bit of bad luck there David! Don't be put off by it! I would be checking the fuel pump controller as Dan suggested. Have you tried running the fuel pump on a higher voltage level? If that still doesn't fix it I would then look at the ISC valve or the fuel filter. Adam's suggestion is a good one too.

The fuel pump controller isn't too hard to pull out. Maybe try and find a member who'll help you and swap with there own controller to see if that's the problem.

Maybe the miss could be the igniters, but these seem to generally play up when hot.

I also have an intermittent bad idle when cold ; are igniters the ones that plug into the spark plugs , the plastic thingies ?

Where would you get those ; and how can you diagnose if that's the fault exactly ?

I also thought the crank angle sensor to play up when hot not cold ...

Don't get me started, I'll give you a run through black spur and we'll see who has the sports car.

The thingoes on top of your plugs are the coils, they have been known to play up on the TT's. I'm not sure where or even if they have igniters. Hopefully someone with a bit more TT knowledge will come along shortly. Good luck.

It could also possibly be the idle control valve. Run a search. :-)
