putting on an aftermarket steering wheel to replace the bus soarer wheel, got the wheel and boss kit but the horn seems to need a bit of customising i was wondering if anyone had gone through the same sort of modification and if there is an easy way to do it, any sort of tutorial that might be of help would be a great help as well
Thanks
Aaron.

There should only be the black wire. The metal on the actual horn piece is the other conductor. You must have the horn put in place for it to work.

Just seen yours is a v8, may be different.

i might take some photos to show what i want to say, basically darryn the horn connector is in the way of the boss kit and the three little lugs in the back dont fit in the boss kit holes. i have seen soarers with aftermarket wheels so obviously it can be done with a bit of customising.

Its a loooong thread but I have some pics at the bottom of the boss kit install. This was a custom built jobbie designed for the Soarer.

Aaron,

Can you put some ink/dye/chalk on the pins and trial fit the boss (pressing the boss against the pins)and then pull the boss off again and carefully drill the holes(on the chalk marks) so the indicator return works?

I haven't tried this, just thought of it trying to help you out.
