Anyone have some pictures of where you have mounted these units? I am looking for some ideas...

You could do what a certain member here did (Who I'm sure you know) who flush mounted them into his woodgrain panel? It looks pretty professional / classy too.

Too bad about the driver though

Rob , Use velcro on the ash tray lid & stick it on there. When you leave the car in a public place , unhook the unit & stick it to the drivers footwell , this keeps it a way from prying eyes. Bad luck if you're a smoker & want to use the ash tray.

Ive seen them in the glove box before. Obviously not very helpful if you are chasing wank factor though.

I will be facing this issue shortly also, im thinking something that is NOT over the dash coz i dont wanna get arrested.

Mine is in my glove box...

SAFC in the glove box works great for the look of the car but makes it hard when you wanna actually look at what its displaying =P

(look at SAFC, look at whats infront of you, whoah! where did that truck come from?)

Kinda like trying to check your boost controller in the ash tray while having to drive flat stick to see what boost it's running....

I found the best mounting place for the AVC-R... easy to view, and just as easy to remove from sight if you get pulled over...

As scary as it is Mr Bagnall, it makes for a good story :-)

Danny, I've seen that done in Supra's before, it's a GREAT idea, I just don't think the Soarer sun visor is thick enough? Anyone seen it done in a Soarer before?

no.. it's up on the dash.... the stand is pushed in between the woodgrain and the dash pad. Nice snug fit, and easy to pull out if required.

i havent got one installed yet. but i always tought i would put it above my ashtray, just below my stereo (the extra hole left when taking out the factory stereo and installing a smaller aftermarket one, assuming you dont have the factory stereo that is) the hole seems about the right size ?
