Crikey- given the thread title I thought you'd taken the skins from not-yet-dead baby sheep and this was proving to be a problem....:-)

Seriously, sheepskins can be dyed, you need truckloads to do it properly, and I have a feeling special dyes due to the oily nature of the fibre.
