That depends how far you want to go in getting a high figure as opposed to an accurate road figure.

Things that have been done before include:
remove air filter
0 weight racing oil
racing fuel
over inflate tyres
remove front drive belt (means you have no power steering etc so be careful)

Overdrive should be off as the run should be done in 3rd gear, however using a lower gear will also give a false but higher reading.

ECT probably won't matter.

Turn the A/C off.

I think you will find Horsepower figure to be the lower of the lines. Says up top 191.2HP.

The 1st line that starts high and tapers away as the revs climb, would be your Torque figures. The HP figures are the ones that Keep climbing as the revs climb. 191.2hp @ 5,100-5,400rpm.

Not sure where you get the 228 from?

Hi daniel, luke, the graph was produced at PECO performance exhaust manufactures not some back street tuning shop, the guy operating the rolling road did two runs the car was in drive with the ect switch on the dip in the graph is the kickdown that is when the bhp was measured,i am not exactly sure why he wrote down the higher figure,he did that on a laptop he added an equation the figure that came out was 228.64bhp the car is supposed to put out 250bhp so i do not see the figures being that far out, but it was only done for fun and i am happy with the results happy motoring guys cheers for now Nick.

Thats what's confusing everyone! YOU CANT HAVE BHP AT THE WHEELS! =P

FYI everyone, people in Europe hate it when their cars put out pitiful power figures, so they work out what power the engine is producing through mathematics applied to power at the wheels.

....no offense intended Nick >.>

Nick, what he has written is most likely some sort of estimation of at the crank or something along those lines. 191hp is a much more beliveable figure for a stock V8. The supposed 250bhp stock is an at the engine figure. A dyno records at the wheels.
Trust me, 191 is the figure you want to be looking at.

Mate, dont be dissapointed with 191 rwhp mate. Thats 145rwkw in our scales, which is damn solid!

Hoovers wont go bang as i only need to be on the throttle for just under 13 seconds for a 1/4mile pass.... I will let your poor engine work hard for over 15 seconds and listen to all the metals screaming about the wear and tear on their asses:-)

Lets see who wins the Ashes this time around! Happy driving mate, thats a sweet ride you got :-)

Err OK then write a post about how great your EMV and electric mirrors are.
Not the power but how you use it haha, alright then go to Santa Pod or Avon Park and get a time so you can show us how you use it.

Hi guys, well the emv story so far is i have not got one i removed it and replaced it with a 7"widescreen dvd,mp3,cd player,as for the mirrors i have seen a few threads about shaky mirrors but i have no problem with them even after a local dimwit tried to kick one off, next on my agenda is to dump the full exhaust fit headers, straight through pipes and some decent oval back boxes,[i like the sound of some of the australian V8 soarers ive heard ],as for the quarter mile well im 46 and up for anything will keep you posted about that, no doubt it will be a lot slower than the tt but hey got to be good for a laugh [think i will to look into fitting nos]well thats all for now, take care guys Nick.

Nick;
Hi mate
when you do your exhaust
if you are not going to supercharge the car
only go up to 2 inch
you will need some back pressure to keep the motor performing.
i did a 2 1/2" full twin on a supercharged soarer
and didn't have cats fitted to it.
yesterday we fitted the cats and MATE the power has gone through the roof.
it pulls so hard now it is a totally different car.
i have now changed the process in how i make my exhausts for the V8 and i will let you know what the results are later next week
i will be setting up a full twin 2 inch of the standard cats in a mates car.
i am making up his exhaust today and will see about fitting it next week.
i just thought some info may help you out a little

the design is
full twin 2" under the back set is 2 hot dog mufflers and then Magna flow centre /off set rear mufflers.
if you are fitting the cats in thay are fitted any were after the extractors/ headers and the end of the gearbox (in there some were).
cheers
Lew

Hi Lew,thanks for the info,im always open to suggestions, would it work if i left the cats in place and put 2" straight through pipes to the rear and fit two decent backboxes[something like Peter Nitschke,s system, that way i would still get some back pressure from the cats?, im looking more for sound than power due the ever present speed camera problems here in the UK police in the uk are more interested in catching speeding cars[massive revinue]than solving crime, cheers for now Nick.

Nick
Leave the cats in mate
and go the full twin 2" system
Place a balance pipe in.OR "X" pipe
Then to the rear mufflers
