What is wrong with your stock one? That does a perfect job up to about 18psi, as long as it is not cactus.
I have a turbosmart vee-port, does the job and produces the classic 'ptssssh' sound, and is a little less noisy than the bovs with the trumpet on the side, ie less cop attention

dont worry bout it,
its just coz you are using a pod filter ?? It makes induction/turbo spool/chatter a lil louder.
If you want a BOV and you have stocko piping, just buy one off an online retailer as a kit and slap it on. I bet your pod will still emit the same noise tho !! just may be hidden a lil by the offensive

Only 2 soarers with that noise? Geez I am going to have to record this noise now, I am kind of worried about it. I thought it was just POD filter noise from air going back through the POD when the throttle body closes. That is what I was told anyways.
Anyways, Joel.. A guy I know has just a cheap china BOV on his R32 Skyline and it makes a big WHOOOSH noise which is what I like, unlike the HKS SSQ which is like a high pitched noise this had a bit of volume.

no BOV can completely vent un-used compressed air. You will notice different noises with different setup. NO doubt the single turbo setup will give you louder noise especially if you have a big FMIC. It will give you the fluttering noise regardless of how many BOV you have. I think the stock BOV is a very good item so if it's still working stick with it.

I get a little compressor surge but only on low throttle boost but when I snap shut on high boost I get that whoosh you discribe. It is a combination of the BOV(Turbosmart v-port2 bov),Pod filter(steel mesh pod,Justjap $30 special) and FMIC(Hybrid)

I get enough of that from the dickheads who drive past my house at 3am on Saturday morning.
Tell me about it. We've got a bunch of idiots who ALL own R32 & 33 Skylines living in a rental dump up the road from us, and they insist on doing major burnouts n' stuff at 2am on Thursday & Friday nights.
I mighta fixed the problem though, as I found out the name of the property owner and rang him at 3am the other morning with the message that everytime WE got woken up, HE would get a phone call from ME.
He wasn't well pleased but hopefully he'll sort his idiot tenants out (or change his phone number HeHe!)

No thanks, I get enough of that from the dickheads who drive past my house at 3am on Saturday morning.
aaww nah.. that would be sweet as bro !
** on another note, the skylines with stocko turbos and just a pod sound pretty good whilst inducting / spoolin up i reckon. Used to love that in my old skylines (especially the one with the Apexi Twin Chamber BOV... LOUD)
