Been a while since I last posted anything on this forum. I have a wee problem. I used to have RUSH headers but due to exhaust wrapping and weather here in Scotland, the headers cracked and literally broke into pieces. I spoke to Neil @ RUSH imports and he cannot get a set done for atleast 3-4 months. Only option I have right now is to get a set of IMF headers from US. The IMF headers are made for an SC400 which is LHD but will they fit alright with RHD vehicles? Wondering whether anyone on this forum ever fitted IMF headers from US and how is the fitment? Thanks

Someone on here was looking at buying a set, have not heard how they went. Being made for LHD, they maybe a problem. Would be interesting, as they were cheap.

Thanks guys for your responses. I was quite shocked that the original rush headers only lasted for about 2 years in this weather. Def next time I will not wrap the headers. Not sure what kind of stainless steel material they are made of they look like carbon steel

Never heard of Hurricane extractors before. Will give them a call on Monday and find out if they have any in stock or atleast if they can manufacture them to order, that would be brilliant.

Heard somewhere that ceramic coating on the headers could improve the longevity. Need to check up on this and see if any of the manufacturers could get this coating done for an extra cost.

I have stainless ones on mine which I decided not to get wrapped as I'd read that wrapping them can severely affect their life span (as you've discovered). Unfortunately not wrapping or coating them leads to very high under bonnet temperatures and potentially a raft of other problems instead. I heartily recommend getting them ceramic coated. As I understand it the process costs more but doesn't shorten the life span like wrapping them does and still keeps engine bay temps down.

My V8 headers are Rush ones and ceramic coated. They've been perfect for near on 3 years now, look like new still
