hey people got a 3040le auto in 1991tt, are the autos same or do they very from year to year justins got a a340e out of a 1992 tt auto for sale just wanting to know if it will work? been told there are different electrical connections through out the gear box range here a pic of mine. thanks guys and this is the second gear box i have destroyed due to this now being work car just need something to through in so i can send 1 of the 3 ill have to be reliable.

when replacing my box found the shifter mechanisim switch on the box was different plu connector so i chnaged it over with the old box`s conector.

Is there a 'performance' or shift pattern difference between the two boxes?

i killed it at a track day :-) second gear slipping.reason for the failure would be age and no oil cooler or shift kit fitted. plus racing around a track pushing it to the limit doesnt help especially in 40 c heat +

now its sleeping in my garage..
