Hey guys, I just bought myself some new wheels and was wondering if anybody could identify what they were! They are 17x9 rear and 17x8 fronts.

Link is here
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=380106922406

I know that the offset is pretty much perfect but what I am wondering now is what tyre sizes would be best fit for them. I used http://ejelta.com/tiresize/index.html to calculate roughly what tyres I would need, but I want to know if anybody has some input on the best tyre width for my car. Also, would a thicker tyre ratio give a noticeably better ride quality because that would be a deciding factor on what tyre I will get. I am a bit lost about this sort of stuff and I want to have a good idea before I go tyre shopping.

Thanks in advance guys!

Same as mine, BBS RG-II's, the 17's give a great ride(these are nice and light too)
I run 225/40R17 on the front and 255/40R17 on the rear.
I'm not to versed in tyre stuff so thats as far as I go mate

Stephen put one on the scales when they arrive to see the weight.

Will do Justin, I am curious as to how much they actually weigh too!
I currently run 245/40R17 fronts and 265/45R17 rears, which came with the car when I first bought it, and in retrospect is kind of weird lol

About 9kg each for the 17x9s
The 17x8s probably weigh roundabout that much probably less 1kg or so.
All I need now is some rubber to go with it!
Happy days =D

You will probably find the 17 x 9 wheel will weigh less than the 8 inch rim.
